A woman identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, has been arrested after allegedly firing shots outside the Los Angeles home of singer Rihanna. As per the latest reports on various news portals, the police have booked her on suspicion of ‘attempted murder’ and have set bail at more than USD 10 million. It must be noted that the suspect has not been charged as yet. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the incident took place on Sunday afternoon when a suspect driving a white Tesla stopped across the singer’s gated mansion and allegedly opened fire. It is unclear if her three children with her children RZA, Riot, and Rocki and partner A$AP Rocky were also home. Footage aired by KABC-TV showed what appeared to be five bullet holes in the front gate of the property. The dispatch audio obtained by the outlet also has police officers alerting, “Shooting just occurred. Ten gunshots fired from the vehicle.”Suspect arrested and booked for ‘attempted murder’The report also states that the suspect was taken into custody at a nearby shopping complex roughly 30 minutes after the shooting, and investigators recovered the weapon believed to have been used in the incident.LAPD Captain Mike Bland told reporters that the firearm involved was an AR-15-style rifle. Ortiz was subsequently booked on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at USD 10.225 million. Suspect’s old post against Rihanna goes viralAmid ongoing investigation into the shooting, investigators are also reviewing social media activity allegedly linked to the suspect Ortiz. A Facebook post dated February 23 has her addressing Rihanna saying, “@badgalriri Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me where I’m not at.”She also posted videos against Cardi B, saying, “You can’t f*** with me, Cardi B. You’re supposedly busy right now. But you know who has the cutest outfit tonight? You know who’s the cutest tonight? I am.” Previously, Rihanna’s home in the Hollywood Hills faced a security breach when a man broke into her home and remained inside for nearly 12 hours. He later pleaded no contest to felony stalking and vandalism charges and received probation in 2019.Police have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. Investigation into Sunday’s shooting remains ongoing.
