Rihanna increases security following shooting in Beverly Hills home

As per reports shared by Page Six, the singer has increased all security measures surrounding her home in Beverly Hills. A statement from the report confirmed that the famed musician is “taking extra security precautions and has even rescheduled an upcoming photo shoot because of the shooting.”

It was also revealed that an AR-15 rifle was used to attack her home yesterday, and that the event has left the celebrity “freaking out” over why she was targeted. As per the initial reports shared by TMZ, the singer was inside the house when the shooting happened. It still remains unclear whether the singer’s partner, ASAP Rocky, and/or their three children were at home with her at the time or not. “Even with a great security team in place, it’s scary to realize that something like this can still happen. (It was) terrifying (but Rihanna is thankful) everyone is safe,” another statement from the report read.

Who is Ivanna Ortiz

Ortiz is a 35-year-old woman from Florida who has been charged with attempted murder after the shooting incident. The woman is currently in jail, and her bail has been set to USD 10.22 million according to the Associated Press. The woman is a known body online, and had earlier shared a threatening video against Rihanna, as well as Cardi B, both of which have now gone viral online. On February 23, she had accused Rihanna of having AIDS and had also posted hateful comments against the singer. Said post had read, “@badgalriri Are you there?
