Riddhima and Samara escape mid-air scare just hours ago

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and daughter Samara escape mid-air scare just hours ago, ‘Our plane touched down and suddenly took off again’

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared a frightening experience on Monday, opening up about a moment that left her and daughter Samara Sahni shaken during a recent flight. Just hours after the incident, she took to Instagram Stories to describe how their plane touched down and then abruptly lifted back into the sky — a manoeuvre known as a “go-around,” usually carried out for safety reasons. Thankfully, the mother-daughter duo escaped without harm.

“Our hearts stopped for those few seconds”

Recounting the moment, Riddhima wrote, “Today, my daughter and I experienced a moment I’ll never forget. Our plane touched down and then suddenly lifted back into the sky. For those few seconds, both of our hearts stopped. I held her hand so tightly as she looked at me with fear in her eyes, and all I could do was stay strong for her while silently trying to steady my own breath.“We were traumatised for a moment, but we’re safe and that’s all that truly matters. Experiences like this shake you, but they also remind you how fragile and precious life is.”

Samara is Riddhima’s daughter and the granddaughter of late actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Riddhima often shares glimpses of their close bond on social media.

Riddhima recently made headlines for helping veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi

Just days before the flight scare, Riddhima was in the news for quietly contributing to the medical fund of veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, celebrated for his portrayal of Sai Baba. Dalvi was hospitalised with severe sepsis, and his family appealed for financial assistance due to escalating medical bills. After donating, Riddhima responded to a troll accusing her of seeking publicity, clarifying that helping someone in need is “a blessing, not something done for attention.” Her dignified response earned appreciation from fans and industry colleagues alike.
