Richa once shut down trolls targeting Aishwarya Rai

'Jalte hai log unse': Richa Chadha once shut down trolls targeting Aishwarya Rai's appearance

Richa Chadha defended Aishwarya Rai Bachchan against trolls, calling critics jealous and praising Aishwarya’s beauty, discipline, and grace. Chadha advised ignoring online negativity, suggesting trolls are projecting their own unhappiness. Prahlad Kakkar also spoke about Aishwarya’s early career struggles with English and dismissed divorce rumors, emphasizing her role as the Bachchan family’s ‘bahu’.

Actor Richa Chadha defended Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after she was trolled for her Paris Fashion Week look, praising her and saying the critics are just jealous.

People are jealous

Speaking to Jist, Richa said, “Jalte hain log unse (People are jealous of her).” She then praised Aishwarya and said, “Sabse khoobsurat mahila hai woh Hindustan ke history ki aajtak ki or mujhe lagta hai unmein bahut discipline hai or woh kaafi graceful hai (She is the most beautiful woman in India’s history so far and I feel she is very disciplined and graceful). She doesn’t talk bad about anyone. I like her a lot. People can troll her all they want, she won’t be bothered by it.”

Praise for Aishwarya

When asked how should one deal with such kind of trolling, Richa said, “Kyun tumhein deal karna hai bhai? Chintu Chandigarh mein baith ke kya soch raha hain tumhein kya farak padega? Chintu tumhare aage aa gaya tum ausey chaprasi bhi nahi rakhoge apne ghar mein. Kya farak padta hain tumhein Chintu kya sochta hain? Chintu apni bhadaas nikal raha hai, uske peeche usko pain feel ho raha hai, uske paas naukri nahi hai, uski mummy LPG se chulhe pe aa gayi hain. Chintu kya karega? ‘Inki dress acchi nahi hai.’ Okay (Let them keep trolling, who cares what a random person thinks? People are unhappy with their lives so this is what they do. Okay).”

Early career struggles

In a recent interview with Vickey Lalwani, Prahlad Kakkar spoke about Aishwarya Rai losing Miss Universe crown to Sushmita Sen. “In the beginning of her career, she didn’t have the confidence to be able to carry herself in English. If you’re doing in Tulu or Hindi, she was more comfortable. So, people thought she was stand-offish but she was not that. She’s just a little afraid that people would misconstrued if she doesn’t find the right sentence or words that form the right emotional connect. People need to understand that and that’s why I am so protective about her,” he said.

Support and protection

He added, “She was so good. I told her mother she’s going to be the next Madhubala’. During this chat, Kakkar also slammed rumours of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan’s divorce and said that she’s never left the Bachchan house. She’s the bahu and she runs the home.”
