Producer SKN recently showered praises over Rashmika Mandanna at an event where he stated that she is the only actor who did not demand strict work hours. The debate over this topic started after Deepika Padukone’s exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’. Now, the ‘Thamma’ actress shared her opinion on the working hours topic.

Rashmika Mandanna reacts to 8-hour debate

In an interview with Gulte, Rashmika was asked to share her thoughts on the work hour debate. Interestingly, she said, “I overwork, and I am telling you it’s highly not suggested. It’s not sustainable; don’t do it.”

She went on to add, “Do what’s comfortable for you, do what is right for you, get those 8 hours, get those 9-10 hours also, because trust me, that’s going to save you later.”Rashmika stated that she has seen a lot of conversations about this topic and added, “I’m telling you this is not worth it.”In the same interview, Rashmika shared that she often ends up taking on more than she should, but stated, “I would say, please don’t make us actors do that.”Explaining her views on the debate, she said, “Like offices have 9-5, let us have that. Because there’s still a family life I want to focus on, there’s still my sleep that I want to get in, and I still want to work out so that later on I’m not regretting it.”She also shared that she is thinking about her future and acknowledged the fact that she is taking up a lot right now as she has no say in the matter.

Producer SKN praised Rashmika for not demanding any kind of work hours. He said, “At a time when there’s debate on how many hours one should work, there’s only one heroine in pan-India who’s willing to work however many hours needed.”The producer further stated that the actress views work with love and not in terms of hours. He said, “Her commitment is about timing, not strict limits. This is why everyone feels like Rashmika is part of the family.”
