Ranveer recalls Shiamak Davar predicting his downfall

Ranveer Allahbadia recalls Shiamak Davar predicting his downfall: ‘He said you have a lot of nazar’; Amrita Rao shares similar experience

Ranveer Allahbadia, who faced a major career setback earlier this year after being ‘cancelled’ following his appearance on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent, has now spoken about an unusual reason behind his struggles. He claims he was under the curse of an evil eye.In a candid chat with actor Amrita Rao on his YouTube channel, Ranveer revealed that dance choreographer Shiamak Davar had met him last year and immediately sensed the presence of negative energy around him. Amrita, who joined the conversation, shared that she too had a similar experience with Shiamak.

Shiamak’s insight

“Shiamak Davar said that to me once. He saw me and said you have a lot of nazar (evil eye) around you,” Ranveer recalled, describing his first meeting with the choreographer at an event in 2024. He said Shiamak looked at him with intensity and pity, warning him to be careful about his back, knees, and the jealousy around him. Ranveer admitted, “A lot went wrong after that.”He reflected on Shiamak’s intuition, saying, “Maybe he is very intuitive or a psychic. I don’t know what it is, or maybe he just has a lot of experience.”

Coping with the curse

Ranveer now visits a temple every week to remove the evil eye. “Main nazar utarvata hu (I get the evil eye curse removed) and it has made a big difference. I feel great — physically and mentally,” he said. He explained the concept of “nazar accumulation,” noting that one can even sense it in others. “At this point, I am almost able to look at someone and say that there is too much nazar on this person,” he added.

Ranveer Allahbadia Discusses Post-Controversy Struggles

Amrita Rao shares her story

Amrita, anticipating that some viewers might find the discussion unusual, said, “For people thinking ‘what is this nonsense?’ there is nazar. I have experienced it.” She recalled how Shiamak Davar had also warned her about someone’s evil eye affecting her. She shared another incident when her house help performed a ritual at home to remove the curse.“I once came back from a shoot feeling very low. The new maid said she would remove the nazar. She used phitkari, and there was a sound that came from it. She said, ‘Arre baap re, kitni gandi nazar lagi hai (Oh god, there was such bad evil eye),’ and within seconds, I felt better,” Amrita recounted.Amrita Rao has appeared in only a few films since 2013, including Thackeray (2019), and recently reprised her role from Jolly LLB in Jolly LLB 3.
