'Ranbir Kapoor se better kiya': Aamir Khan applauds Riddhima Kapoor Sahni in Neetu Kapoor starrer ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’

‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’, starring Kapil Sharma, Neetu Kapoor, Sadia Khateeb and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, releases on May 8, 2026. At a special screening, Aamir Khan praised Riddhima’s debut. Neetu shared Riddhima initially laughed off the offer, while Ranbir advised her to stay honest and trust her instincts.

‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’, starring Kapil Sharma, Neetu Kapoor, Sadia Khateeb, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, is set to release on May 8, 2026. A special screening of the film was held on Wednesday, attended by Aamir Khan. The actor’s sister, Nikhat Khan, also plays a role in the movie.

Aamir Khan reviews ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’

According to the Free Press Journal, after watching the film, Aamir Khan interacted with the paparazzi and praised the movie along with Riddhima’s performance. He said, “Riddhima ki pehle film hai. Bahot badhiya kaam kiya hai. Ranbir se better kiya hai (This is Riddhima’s first film. She has done a great job. She’s better than Ranbir).” He went on to add, “Bahot maza aaya mujhe (I enjoyed it a lot). So, my very best wishes to the entire team, all the very best, well done guys.”

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s debut in ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’

Riddhima’s debut is currently the talk of the town. She is the third Kapoor daughter, after Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, to enter the film industry. However, unlike the two, who began their careers early, Riddhima is stepping into films in her 40s.

In a recent promotional video, Neetu opened up about how Riddhima came on board for the film. She shared that when the makers first reached out to her about casting her daughter, she laughed it off and said no. Later, she decided to check with Riddhima, who also laughed upon hearing the offer but eventually agreed to be a part of the film.

Ranbir Kapoor’s advice to Riddhima Kapoor Sahni for ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’

With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, Ranbir offered Riddhima some guidance before she began filming. Sharing his advice, she said, “I spoke to Ranbir before starting. His biggest advice was to stay honest in front of the camera. He told me to trust my instincts and just live the character rather than perform it, and that really stayed with me.”

‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’ is a family comedy-drama centered on an older woman deciding to marry again, sparking a mix of emotional and comic situations within her family.
