The magic of ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ continues to spread beyond Malayalam cinema. Among the several celebs who have praised this superhero film, the latest to join the list of admirers is Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who couldn’t stop praising the film and its music during his recent Instagram live session.

Ranbir calls ‘Lokah’ “Excellent”

Celebrating his 43rd birthday, Ranbir Kapoor went live on Instagram from the page of his lifestyle brand Arks. Answering questions from fans, the actor revealed his current playlist. “One song which I truly love is Barbaad from ‘Saiyaara’. I really like that song. I like the music of ‘Lokah’. I recently saw the film and it was just excellent. I like Sahiba – it is a great song,” he shared, adding that he usually discovers music through Spotify’s Top 50 charts.

Interestingly, Ranbir isn’t the only Kapoor family member to have praised ‘Lokah’. Earlier, Alia Bhatt had shared her admiration for the film on Instagram Stories, calling it a “fresh blend of mythic folklore & mystery.” Expressing her joy over its reception, she wrote: “So happy to see the love it’s getting. This is a step in cinema that I will always be eager to show my love & support for!”

Box office keeps growing

Meanwhile, ‘Lokah’ continues its strong theatrical run. As reported by the Sacnilk website, after a small dip in the previous week, the film saw a jump in collections, earning Rs 1.6 crore on Day 31 and Rs 1.46 crore on Day 32. This pushed its India net total to ₹145.96 crore, while worldwide numbers have crossed the Rs 200 crore milestone. On the other side, even though the praises are coming in from other industrues, the Malayalam version remains the strongest contributor, with Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions minting comparatively low box office collections.
