The countdown has officially begun for the official trailer launch of ‘Ramayana’, one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious films.The makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ have announced that the film’s highly anticipated trailer will premiere worldwide on July 24, 2026, marking the ‘beginning of the epic’s global journey’.

‘Ramayana’ trailre gets July 24 release date

Sharing the announcement on social media, the team released a statement that read, “For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. One of Bharat’s greatest civilisational epics, presented to the world, at a scale never attempted before in Indian cinema.”The announcement concluded by confirming, “The Ramayana trailer premieres worldwide on 24th July.”

‘Ramayana’ trailer to launch at Comic-Con 2026

This comes just days after Variety India reported that the film’s trailer will launch a week early in India, on July 18, in a grand event in Delhi. However, now according to the latest update, the global trailer launch of the Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi starrer, sets it up in time for its launch at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2026, where producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari, and the leading men are scheduled to participate in an exclusive panel. An official slate from Comic-Con 2026 shared that ‘Ramayana’ will be showcased on July 23 (July 24 IST). The presentation is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. in Ballroom 20, the second-largest venue at San Diego Comic-Con, which has a seating capacity of approximately 4,800 attendees. The venue is second only to the convention’s iconic Hall H and is traditionally reserved for some of the event’s biggest studio presentations.

‘Ramayana’ cast and release date

The film has been mounted as a two-part adaptation of the ancient Indian epic that not only boasts a star-studded ensemble, but also a budget, reportedly exceeding Rs 4,000 crore.’Ramayana’ will see Ranbir Kapoor play Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, while Yash stars as Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, along with Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha and Arun Govil in pivotal roles.’Ramayana: Part I’ is scheduled to release in theatres during Diwali 2026, while ‘Ramayana: Part II’ is slated to arrive on Diwali 2027.
