Ramayan to have simple Hindi for universal reach

Nitesh Tiwari and Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayan to have simple Hindi for universal reach: Exclusive

The upcoming Ramayan film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol, prioritizes accessibility by simplifying Hindi dialogues for a wider audience. Makers are ensuring that the narrative resonates across age groups and backgrounds. The first part, featuring cameos by Yash and Sunny Deol, is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, followed by the second part in 2027.

The much anticipated Ramayan, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Raavan, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman has taken a significant step in order to make the film accessible to everyone. The makers have made sure that the Hindi used for the dialogues in the film to be kept as simple as possible for the benefit of the audience. Ramayan belongs to India’s ancient scripture and often during their television adaptations often writers used words and phrases that are not so commonly used now- thus making it a bit difficult to understand the emotions. But with the movie, the makers wanted everyone to enjoy the film without much issues. Also the film is expected to be dubbed in English , Mandarin and Japanese for the world audience. A source close to the the production shared, “ Though the source material is the ancient text which is layered with philosophy and poetry and deep spirituality, Nitesh Tiwari along with his team of writers have taken special care to simplify the Hindi dialogues so that narrative resonates with audiences across age brackets and backgrounds”.Extensive consultations with language experts were held to strike the right balance retaining the sanctity of the original text while keeping the modern viewer in mind so that they don’t feel alienated, added the source . With the shoot of the first part already complete which will see cameo appearances by Yash and Sunny Deol, has now gone into the long and tedious post production phase as the shoot of the film has been done on a special set that was erected at Film City in Mumbai. The first part is slated to release in Diwali of 2026 with the second part hitting the theaters in 2027.
