After the grand release of ‘Peddi’ Ram Charan will focus on his upcoming project with ‘Pushpa’ filmmaker Sukumar tentatively named ‘RC17’. If the latest reports are to be believed, the script is almost complete and the makers are preparing to officially launch the project in the coming weeks.
‘RC17’ shooting update
According to a report by media outfit Chitrajyothy, regular shooting for the film is expected to begin in November. However, the makers have not officially announced it.‘RC17’ marks the reunion between Ram Charan and Sukumar who worked together on the 2018 film ‘Rangasthalam’. The film set in a village turned out to be a huge hit. The film also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead.Later they also worked on the sports action drama, ‘Peddi’ where Sukumar was a key figure in its making.

‘RC17’ was officially announced in March 2024 when Ram Charan shared a Holi picture with Sukumar. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited more information about the project.Additionally, the makers confirmed that Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music. During the success celebrations of ‘Peddi’, many fans asked Sukumar for an update on ‘RC17’. However, the director chose not to reveal anything about the film. Instead, he playfully told fans to keep imagining the project’s scale rather than giving away details too early. Earlier reports suggested the film could be an urban action drama with romance and adventure. However, recent reports indicate the makers are still working on the creative direction of the story.

Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, minted over Rs 341.57 crore worldwide and earned Rs 244.34 crore in net collections across 123,607 shows in India, according to trade analyst Sacnilk.
