Meanwhile, Rekha, in an interview with IANS, recently praised Rakesh Roshan, saying he is deeply rooted in Indian culture and traditions yet ahead of his time. She added that films have always been his first love and admired his exceptional sense of music, inherited from his father Roshan Sahab and brother Rajesh Roshan.The veteran actress further shared that the actor-director sees the Indian woman as the ultimate superwoman, a modern-day ‘Devi Maa’ who multitasks and embodies the spirit of today’s woman. She said she feels a strong connection with his vision and the characters she has played in his films, from Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish to Khoon Bhari Maang. Rekha added that it’s rare for someone to excel both as an actor and a director, and compared her admiration for him to the respect she has always had for Raj Kapoor Sahab, noting that Rakesh Roshan has proven his mettle as a filmmaker.
