Rajinikanth’s villain in ‘Jailer 2’ revealed

'Jailer 2': THIS actor to play the villain in the Rajinikanth's film; Shah Rukh Khan to shoot his scenes in March

Jatin Sarna has completed his scenes as the main villain in Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’. He calls the role a career turning point. Shah Rukh Khan is expected to shoot his cameo in March. This will complete the film’s production. The sequel to the 2023 blockbuster is slated for a June 2026 release.

The spotlight on ‘Jailer 2’ has now shifted to its powerful antagonist, with Jatin Sarna completing his portions for director Nelson Dilipkumar’s much-anticipated sequel starring Rajinikanth. The actor, who joined the shoot last August, plays the main villain and calls the role a major turning point in his career. He described the character as layered and well-etched, adding that overcoming the language barrier was one of the most rewarding aspects of the journey. His recent photo with Rajinikanth from the sets has further fuelled excitement among fans.

Jatin Sarna’s antagonist role

According to a report by Cinema Express, Jatin Sarna’s negative character will be one of the central forces driving the sequel’s conflict, placing him in direct opposition to Rajinikanth’s character. Known widely for his breakout performance in the series ‘Sacred Games’, the actor steps into a much larger commercial space with this film.

SRK cameo buzz

Meanwhile, strong buzz continues around a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. As per Valai Pechu, the Bollywood star is expected to shoot for his extended cameo for about a week in March, which will complete the film’s entire production. The prospect of Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan sharing screen space again, after ‘Ra.One,’ has become one of the biggest talking points, with fans eagerly awaiting an official confirmation from the makers.

About the sequel and ensemble cast

With ‘Jailer 2’, Nelson Dilipkumar returns to the director’s chair for the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster. Allegedly, this film will feature a cast including actors such as Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Shivarajkumar, and Vinayakan, in addition to many others whose names are not mentioned. Filmed across multiple sites and still in the process of final editing, ‘Jailer 2’ is expected in June 2026 and will make waves at the box office, hitting no ceilings. Go to Source
