Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ is gaining attention. Rajat Bedi, known for ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’, plays Jaraj Saxena. Aryan, a fan of Rajat, specifically wanted him for the role. It has been less than a week since the release of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The show has captured the imagination of the netizens, with people trying to find connection between reel and real. Amidst all this, there has been this one man who might not have a lot of screen space, but has surely performed in such a way, that has brought him back in everyday conversation. And that is actor Rajat Bedi best known to play Raj Saxena in Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan’s Koi … Mil Gaya. Rajat plays the role of Jaraj Saxena in the show,he is someone who has been struggling for almost 15 years in the movies, but with little to no luck. The actor who began his career by sharing screen space with names like Akshay Kumar and Sunny Deol, has been away from Hindi cinema for more than a decade. But as one says, when the time is right, the right opportunity comes your way. Talking about in an exclusive interview with ETimes, he opened up about how he became part of the show. He said, “ My character is Aryan’s favourite, he loves Jaraj. During his growing up years he (Aryan) was a huge fan of Koi… Mil Gaya, and somehow this story that he’s created, the whole show, he was very, very sure he wanted me for the role. I feel extremely blessed for that. I had no idea that he was making this show and in fact he reached out to me via some common folks asking him to meet him at the office. I was shocked, surprised and overwhelmed with gratitude. In the beginning I was enamoured walking into Shah Rukh’s office.And meeting Aryan was so nice. He is so humble, so down to earth, so respectful, full of grace,” Rajat added. He also shared that during the premiere, Aryan’s friends who worked on the show told him that everyone from Aryan to them were nervous when it came to him. He said, “They told me that they were nervous about me saying no for the role. Everyone was like, will he say yes, will he say yes?”Rajat also revealed that while all actors had their workshops and knew exactly what they were doing, Aryan and his friends would shoot the scenes a day prior to the actual shooting on their phones.
