Raj Kundra shares cryptic posts as Shilpa Shetty clarifies Bastian is not shutting down: 'Don’t treat people as bad as they are'

Soon after Shilpa Shetty announced the shutting down of her iconic Bandra restaurant, Bastian, the internet was abuzz with chatter, not just about the closure but also about cryptic posts shared by her husband, businessman Raj Kundra.Raj posted a note on Instagram that read, “Fikar Naa Kar, Waheguru Ji Ang Sang Hai.” In another story, he wrote, “Don’t treat people as bad as they are, treat them as good as you are.” Fans and followers immediately linked these messages to the Bastian development and the couple’s alleged Rs 60 crore financial irregularities case, which has been making headlines.

Shilpa Shetty clears the air

Amid this swirl of speculation, Shilpa set the record straight through a video on Instagram. On a call, she was heard saying, “No, I am not shutting down Bastian, I promise.” She added, “I have received numerous calls, and I can definitely feel the love for Bastian, but don’t turn this love into something toxic. I have literally come to say that Bastian is going nowhere. We have always introduced new food, continuing with that passion, we are so excited to announce not one but two new places.”

Bastian gets a makeover

Shilpa revealed that Bastian’s Bandra outlet will now be converted into a South Indian restaurant named Ammakai. Meanwhile, the brand itself will shift to Juhu, reopening as Bastian Beach Club.
