Diwali 2025 is only a few days away, and the celebrations with the festival of Dhanteras are already being observed in India. Amid the festive vibes, we sat with Bollywood actor Aarya Babbar to know what Diwali looks like at the Babbar house. In his candid conversation with us, Aarya shared how the house lights up with joy, tradition, happy faces, and a few crackers. He also revealed that despite being in a demanding profession, he has never picked up work during Diwali, and it is tradition that his father, Raj Babbar, in a way created, as he made sure to be around the family during the festive time.
Aarya Babbar shares that Raj Babbar never picked up work on Diwali
In our conversation, as we were discussing the times when either he or his father had to pick work over celebrating the festival, Aarya Babbar said, “No, I don’t think papa or any one of us has ever picked up work during Diwali. None of us has ever picked up work during Diwali, I think that’s what the tradition is, you know, my mom and papa, I think, in all of us, that Diwali is a festival where everyone will see to it that they are together.” He further highlighted how the industry understands the importance of Diwali. “Even our industry, our film industry, respects Diwali, and I am not commenting about any other festival, but Diwali is given a level of importance and respect,” he said.

As aforementioned, Aarya also shared what Diwali looks like at his house. He mentioned it’s all things simple and traditional, and said, “There’s pooja in the house, performed by our family pandit, everyone wears new colorful ethnic clothes and compliments one another.” “There’s a lot of fun, we joke around, burst a few crackers, but only a few, not adding to the noise pollution.
