Radhika pleads to the media for privacy as K Bhagyaraj’s funeral

Radhika Sarathkumar pleads to the media for privacy as K Bhagyaraj's mortal remains brought home for public homage

The Tamil film industry is mourning the demise of legendary filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj, with family members, friends, and colleagues gathering to pay their last respects. Actress Radhika Sarathkumar drew attention by making an emotional appeal to the media amid the emotional scenes at Bhagyaraj’s house. Radhika, who has been close to both Bhagyaraj and Bharathiraja over the years, asked everyone present to respect the family’s privacy during one of their most trying times.

Radhika requests media for privacy

A video clip outside Bhagyaraj’s house has now gone viral on social media. As Bhagyaraj’s last rites were being taken to his house, Radhika was spotted getting out of the ambulance and tried to make way for the family. With folded hands, she emotionally appealed to the media, saying, “I fold my hands and request you…Please don’t chase TRPs. We entertain you through our films. Please give the family some privacy.” She kept on requesting photographers and camera crews to give way to Bhagyaraj’s family members so they could pay their last respects without camera disturbance. Her emotional appeal touched many hearts, with numerous social media users praising her.

A familiar face during moments of grief in Tamil cinema

Radhika has maintained a great relationship with both Bhagyaraj and Bharathiraja for many years in the Tamil film industry. Just a few days ago, Radhika was one of the notable people who spent many hours paying homage to Bharathiraja during his burial and stood with fellow colleagues in the film industry right until the end of the proceedings. In the wake of Bhagyaraj’s death, Radhika was there yet again to support the family.

Fans praise Radhika for putting compassion before the cameras

This viral video has garnered much appreciation on social media platforms, with people commending Radhika for reminding others that times of sadness must be respected. Netizens pointed out that her request was not intended to prevent the media from reporting the story, but to give the family some privacy to grieve in peace. With many paying their respects to Bhagyaraj, Radhika’s emotional plea is becoming one of the biggest highlights of the day.
