Priya Sachdev Kapur, widow of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur, has taken major steps into her late husband’s business. Amid a high-profile legal battle against Sunjay’s children from his first marriage to Karisma Kapoor, she has shared glimpses of her day at work.Taking to Instagram, Priya shared that she spent two days at Sona Comstar’s Chennai plant and R&D centre, where she interacted with engineers, toured the shop floor, and revisited the tree planted by her late husband in 2022.

Taking to Instagram, Priya shared glimpses of her two-day visit, which included meetings with the leadership team, engineers, and employees. She could be seen interacting with staff, observing production on the shop floor, and standing beside a tree planted by her late husband in 2022.She wrote, “Spent two enriching days with our leadership team at Sona Comstar’s Chennai plant and R&D centre, walking the shopfloor, meeting the people, and witnessing the journey that keeps this place growing.”

In her heartfelt post, Priya reflected on what she saw during her visit and recalled her late husband’s words and values.She wrote, “As I spoke with engineers perfecting the smallest details and building their own in-house machines, I saw innovation driven by quiet determination. As Sunjay always believed, ‘In the pursuit of excellence,’ I was reminded that progress isn’t powered by machines alone. It’s driven by people — by their passion, purpose, and perseverance.”

Priya also opened up about what she has learnt in her role so far and how she now views leadership. She shared, “Leadership, I’ve come to believe, is less about giving direction and more about being present. It’s about showing up to listen, to learn, and to care. When leaders take care of their people, everything else begins to align, quality, innovation, and growth. Because in the end, technology may define what we do, but people define who we are.”

Priya ended her post by expressing how proud she felt after witnessing the dedication of the team at Sona Comstar. She wrote, “Deeply proud and humbled of what this team is building. Looking forward to returning and witnessing more of this incredible momentum in action.”

Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, with their mother acting as their legal guardian, have taken legal action against Priya.
