Prashanth Neel confirms Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar 2’ after ‘Dragon’; filmmaker also talks about ‘KGF 3’

Director and writer Prashanth Neel, best known for ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’ is now working on his upcoming movie ‘Dragon’ with Jr NTR, which is set to release in theatres next year. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the sequel to the Prabhas-starrer, and the filmmaker recently revealed that he will work on it after the current film.While speaking with Galatta Plus, Prashanth Neel shared that Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam’ will begin after the completion of ‘Dragon’.During the interaction, Prashanth Neel also spoke about the possibility of ‘KGF 3’. While fans are eager to know when the next chapter of the blockbuster franchise will happen, the director said he has not yet decided when he will return to the ‘KGF’ world. The filmmaker did not reveal any timeline for the project. For now, his full focus remains on ‘Dragon’ and then ‘Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam’.

A different side of Prashanth Neel

Interestingly, Neel has mentioned that ‘Dragon’ will be different from the mass-action films he is known for. The director revealed that he has been working on a mythological film series. According to him, the new project will have a brighter and more colourful visual style compared to the dark worlds seen in ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’. He also shared that he would like to make a small and emotional drama film someday.

About ‘Salaar’

Speaking of ‘Salaar’, it features Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. The story was set in the powerful city-state of Khansaar and followed the complicated friendship between Deva and Vardharaja Mannar. The film also featured Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Easwari Rao, Shruti Haasan, Sriya Reddy and John Vijay in important roles.

Cast ‘Dragon’

On the other hand, his next film, ‘Dragon’ is expected to be yet another universe with grand storytelling, which also features Rukmini Vasanth, Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and other cast members.
