The romantic drama ‘Dude’, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, is making waves at the box office, surpassing Rs 61.65 crore in earnings. Despite starting off with divided critiques, the film has kept its momentum, especially on its second Saturday, enjoying robust attendance in cinemas throughout Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states.

Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju’s romantic drama ‘Dude’ has been enjoying a decent run at the box office. Released on October 17, the film opened to mixed reviews but has managed to maintain a decent hold in theatres. On its ninth day, ‘Dude’ collected an estimated Rs 3.15 crore on the second Saturday.According to a report by Sacnilk, ‘Dude’ has had a good run in its second week. The film earned Rs 56.5 crore in its first week, with Rs 43.65 crore coming from the Tamil version and Rs 12.85 crore from the Telugu version. On its second Friday, the film collected Rs 2 crore, which is a slight 9.09 percent dip. However, it picked up pace again on Saturday, bringing in an estimated Rs 3.15 crore, taking its total collection to Rs 61.65 crore so far.

Theatre occupancy

On Saturday, ‘Dude’ recorded a steady run across theatres. In Tamil Nadu, the film maintained an overall occupancy rate of 32.67 percent. The morning shows saw 19.42 percent occupancy, then went to 31.93 percent in the afternoon, 33.48 percent in the evening, and was at 45.84 percent during the night shows.Meanwhile, the Telugu version had an overall 21.95 percent occupancy across theatres. The morning shows had 15.97 percent occupancy, which improved to 23.01 percent in the afternoon, 20.74 percent in the evening, and 28.06 percent during the night screenings.
