Prabhas will be enjoying ‘Baahubali -The Epic’ without any pressure: Exclusive

The iconic Baahubali saga is returning as a merged, re-cut 3 hour 45 minute epic. Director SS Rajamouli and producer Shobhu Yarlagadda are behind this new version, with lead actor Prabhas reportedly thrilled to experience it without the original release pressures. The film’s US re-release is already a massive success, projecting strong box office numbers.

The Baahubali series will remain one of the biggest turning points for Indian Cinema with its scale, storytelling and global reach. The film is all set to return to the spotlight is SS Rajamouli along with producer Shobhu Yarlagadda are coming up with a re-cut version of both films being merged into one 3 hour 45 minute saga which had been titled as Baahubali- The Epic Speaking about the camaraderie between the original team in an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Shobhu shared, “We’ve been in constant touch with everyone, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia. And Prabhas specifically is very, very excited. He’s really looking forward to this.”Talking about Prabhas’s excitement for the new version, Shobu said, “For him also (along with Producers) , part one and part two came with a lot of pressure, how will it perform, what will it do, what is it etc ? There was so much at stake for all of us at that time ( The film was mounted on never heard before budget). ” And Prabhas told me he’ll be able to enjoy this release because there’s no pressure attached to it, ” stated the producer. Baahubali isn’t just a film, it is an emotion that changed Indian filmmaking. Baahubali: The Beginning released in 2015, it shattered box office records and blurred the regional boundaries , followed by Baahubali: The Conclusion in 2017, which became one of India’s highest-grossing films ever. While the advance booking for the film in India has opened in small numbers, in the US the numbers are doing the big talk. For the first weekend it has already reached USD 330,000 mark and one can expect the number to touch USD 1 million within the first weekend, making it the most successful re-release in the sector. The film is releasing on 31st October and is scheduled to have its premiere in the US on 29th October, the film is being distributed by the distribution team behind RRR and they have ensured a wide and strong release for the film.
