Soon after the drop, Vivek Oberoi took to his handle to share the big surprise and confirm his casting in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial.

Fans of ‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas, soon to to social media to welcome Oberoi to “Rebelwood” a new term their coined up. A netizen wrote, “Good to see you back and with such a huge project. Best wishes. Been a fan since Saathiya.” Another one added, “Welcome to Rebelwood.” A comment read, “Welcome to Rebelwood, sir.” One a person wrote, “Waiting for epic face-off.”

The movie made headlines after Deepika Padukone, who was cast as the female lead in the movie, exited the project, reportedly due to a fallout with filmmaker Vanga over remuneration and work hour issues.
