Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt’s relationship has been at the forefront of headlines recently. While there had been ongoing rumors about the two splitting up, many other reports confirmed that the two were trying to work through things. However, as per the latest news, the two have officially called it quits, only 5 months after welcoming their baby into the world. Here is all that we know about the matter.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt mutually part ways

According to a new report from PEOPLE, Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have officially parted ways after dating for around a year. The two also welcomed their baby in December last year. Reportedly, the two could not work together through the issues they were facing in their relationship, and have decided to mutually part ways. Not only that, but they also aim to be “friends” in the future, when things are better for them.“They’re not getting along right now. They were already struggling a bit while Elsie was pregnant. Things just happened so quickly between them, and they didn’t know each other very well,” said the report.However, for the sake of their child, they are attempting to work through things and mainly are choosing to focus on co-parenting. “She’s (Elsie Hewitt) not fighting Pete on seeing the baby, but it’s not smooth sailing. Ultimately, they’d like to be friends and do things together, but it’s difficult to think about getting to that place right now.”

For the unversed, the couple was first linked together when reports of them dating broke out in March last year. They were spotted in public together on multiple occasions and were seen going out on dates. In December last year, they announced that Hewitt had given birth to their daughter, Scottie Rose. She was named after Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson.Ever since announcing the news to the world, the two of them had been keen on sharing glimpses of their everyday life as new parents online. From selfies to rare glimpses of their newborn daughter, the two proudly shared moments from their life online. In March, the duo had celebrated their girl’s 12 weeks, and had posted about the same. Hewitt had written that while driving to the hospital, the two of them had tried to predict at what time their baby would be born.
