'Pati Patni Aur Woh Do' box office collection Day 17: Ayushmann Khurrana film sees slight growth; crosses Rs 63 crore globally

Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ witnessed a slight jump in its box office collection on the third Saturday in theatres. The film, featuring Rakul Preet Singh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Sara Ali Khan as the female leads, is currently in its third week at cinemas. It has been showcasing slow yet steady collections at the box office after enjoying a decent first weekend.

The Mudassar Aziz directorial raked in Rs 29 crore in the first week. The film added another Rs 12.95 crore to its domestic net tally in the second week. Now, according to the Sacnilk report, on Day 17, the movie represented a growth of 14.3% from its previous day’s earnings. The Ayushmann starrer earned Rs 2 crore across 2,642 shows on Day 17.With that, the total India net collection has reached Rs 46.95 crore, while the total India gross collection stands at Rs 55.76 crore.Overseas, the film has raked in an aggregate of Rs 7.65 crore in gross collections, pushing its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 63.41 crore.

Box office competition

Despite competition from other releases, the lack of a major big-budget film has worked in the Ayushmann starrer’s favour, enabling the movie to sustain a slow but steady run at the box office. The film is competing with Vivek Soni’s ‘Chand Mera Dil’, featuring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, and the Hollywood flick ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’, from its second week. From the third week, the situation comedy is also sharing screens with ‘The Great Grand Superhero’ and the psychological horror drama ‘Obsession’.
