Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh starrer ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ witnessed a significant decline in collections on Day 18. The film had shown moderate movement over the weekend. However, weekday business slowed considerably. According to Sacnilk estimates, the film collected Rs 80 lakhs India net on Day 18. The latest figure marks a 60 percent drop compared to the Rs 2 crore earned on the previous day. With the latest numbers added, the film’s India net collection has climbed to Rs 47.75 crore. The India gross currently stands at Rs 56.70 crore.Day 18 business came from 2,703 shows running across theatres. Earlier during its first week, the film collected Rs 2.75 crore on its opening Wednesday and Rs 2 crore on Thursday. The movie completed its first week with total earnings of Rs 29 crore. During the third weekend, collections improved slightly before slowing again on Monday. The film earned Rs 1.75 crore on Day 16 and Rs 2 crore on Day 17 before dropping to Rs 80 lakhs on Day 18.

Overseas earnings push worldwide numbers

The movie has accumulated Rs 7.65 crore in overseas gross collections so far. The latest figures have pushed its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 64.35 crore. The Hindi version recorded overall occupancy of 11.81 percent on Day 18. Evening shows performed comparatively better and registered 14.23 percent occupancy. Night screenings followed closely at 13.92 percent.’Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ serves as a spiritual follow-up to the 2019 release ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’. However, it arrives with an entirely different cast and story setup. The film is about a married couple living in Prayagraj. Their ordinary life takes an unexpected turn after one decision creates a series of misunderstandings.Ayushmann Khurrana plays Prajapati Pandey, who creates a fake romantic situation involving his friend Chanchal Kumari, played by Sara Ali Khan. His plan is intended to distract politician Gajraj Tiwari from her relationship with his son.ETimes review for the film reads, “The film works only in parts because of its cast. Ayushmann Khurrana brings energy to his role, though he often goes over the top, while Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi lend able support. Vijay Raaz, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and Ayesha Raza are effortless in their comic scenes and add the most heft to the humour. With only a few entertaining moments and an uneven script, this situational comedy is easy to skip. Despite its promising premise and capable performers ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ gets too tangled in its own confusion to deliver consistent laughs.”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
