According to Mint, based on the official synopsis, the “much-awaited fifth season of Panchayat will premiere later this year.” With that, the platform formally confirmed the new installment after months of speculation. The exact release date is still under wraps, but the makers have said the season will “arrive soon.” The announcement places ‘Panchayat’ among the major returning titles in the platform’s upcoming lineup. The official synopsis also points to conflict ahead. It says Abhishek Tripathi is “navigating a tense and unfriendly workplace under new, vengeful leadership.” As he looks toward his MBA plans, he must first deal with “unfinished matters in Phulera.” That setup signals another season shaped by personal struggle, local tensions, and emotional turns.

‘Panchayat’ Season 4 follows Abhishek Tripathi as he struggles with pressure at work, his future plans, and rising political tension in Phulera. The season focuses on the village panchayat election, where Pradhan’s camp and Bhushan’s side clash for power. At the same time, Abhishek worries about the police case against him and waits for his CAT exam results, hoping to secure an MBA seat. His bond with Rinki also grows stronger. In the final stretch, Abhishek clears the CAT exam and confesses his feelings to Rinki. The biggest twist comes when Manju Devi loses the election to Kranti Devi.

‘Panchayat’ Season 5: Cast, creators, and TVF lineup

The show is created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar. Arunabh Kumar produces the series under The Viral Fever banner. Season 5 brings back Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek Tripathi, along with Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghubir Yadav as Brij Bhushan Dubey, Faisal Malik as Prahlad Pandey, Chandan Roy as Vikas, and Sanvikaa as Rinki. Supporting actors Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, Ashok Pathak, and Aasif Khan will also reprise their roles.Along with ‘Panchayat’, Prime Video has announced new chapters of ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’ and ‘Gram Chikitsalay’, both backed by TVF. ‘Gram Chikitsalay’, which first premiered on the platform in 2025, returns for a second season. Directed by Lalitam Tiwari and written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava, the show follows Dr. Prabhat as he learns that the medicine shortage at the PHC and ward boy Gobind’s future are controlled by Babu Saheb, described as “a corrupt official from the Chief Medical Officer’s office.” The season stars Amol Parashar, Akash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Garima Vikrant Singh, and Dinesh Lal Yadav. ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’ is also returning for a second season and continues the story of the fan-favorite character from TVF’s ‘Aspirants’.
