Orry, the social media sensation known as Orhan Awatramani, has asked the Mumbai Police for an extension until November 25 to make his appearance. His name emerged during interrogations linked to a major mephedrone bust, prompting concerns over celebrity connections to the rave scene under investigation by the authorities.

Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, who was summoned in connection with a drug seizure case, on Thursday sought time till November 25 to appear before Mumbai Police. Let’s learn more about it detail below.

According to a PTI report, the influencer was summoned by the Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) after his name came into the picture during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, who is a key accused in the Rs 252 crore mephedrone seizure case. As per the report, the police have claimed that certain celebrities from the film and fashion world, along with a politician and a kin of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim, were involved in rave parties organized by him.

Orry’s lawyer seeks more time

Reportedly, Orry was one of the people Shaikh has named in his interrogation. The social media personality was summoned to record his statement on Thursday. However, he has failed to do so. An official stated that Orry’s lawyer has sought time until November 25, 2025.Shaikh, also known as ‘Lavish’ due to his luxurious lifestyle, was deported from Dubai in October. Reportedly, he was a close aide of gangster Salim Dola, who was allegedly involved in the manufacturing and distribution of mephedrone in India. Initially Shaikh was arrested in the Rs 252 crore mephedrone seizure from a drug factory in Maharashtra’s Sangli last year. Subsequently, the Ghatkopar unit of the ANC arrested him.

Meanwhile, Orry recently stated that he has made his Hollywood debut with Gurinder Chadha’s film ‘Christmas Karma’, starring Kunal Nayyar, Billy Porter, and Eva Longoria. He posted a video of himself on Instagram, which showed a glimpse from the sets of the movie.However, none of the websites like IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes have mentioned his name in the credits of the film.
