'One Battle After Another' box office collection Day 2: Leonardo DiCaprio's film sees growth in earnings on its first Saturday

Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘One Battle After Another’ hit theaters on September 26. The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, Regina Hall, Wood Harris, and others, has opened to mixed reviews from the audience. However, in India, the buzz around the movie is much less. And the same is reflected in its box office numbers in the country. Let’s take a look at the BO score of the film.

‘One Battle After Another’ box office collection India: Day 2

According to the Sacnilk report, ‘One Battle After Another’ earned Rs 0.5 crore in India on its first day. On the second day, the movie managed to collect Rs 0.75 crore on the second day in all languages. The occupancy for the film was around 21.17% English on Saturday. The movie witnessed a maximum occupancy of 52.33% in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The plot of ‘One Battle After Another’

The film’s story revolves around Bob (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and Perfidia (Teyana Taylor), who get targeted by Col. Steven J. Lockjaw for their rabble-rousing operations against the American immigration system. However, in the later years, the same political dispute becomes intensely personal.

Reportedly, DiCaprio reportedly received a USD 20 million fee for his involvement in the film. This is the first film of the director that has been released in IMAX. The film was supposed to be out in theaters in August; however, the release date was shifted for a potential award season run. It was previewed at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles before it officially hit the cinemas.For the unversed, the first trailer of ‘One Battle After Another’ won a Golden Trailer Award for its score. The film was released in theaters on September 26, 2025.
