No Entry sequel: Is Shahid replacing Diljit Dosanjh?

'No Entry’ sequel: Is Shahid Kapoor replacing Diljit Dosanjh to star alongside Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor?

A fresh report suggests that Shahid Kapoor is in talks to join Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in the ‘No Entry’ sequel, possibly replacing Diljit Dosanjh who quit the project. Producer Boney Kapoor has confirmed the film is still on track, with discussions underway to finalise the complete cast.

Shahid Kapoor remains one of the most popular actors, with fans eagerly awaiting his return to the big screen in ‘Cocktail 2’. But that’s not the only exciting news surrounding the actor, as a fresh report has now hinted at a possible collaboration between Shahid and director Anees Bazmee for the highly anticipated ‘No Entry 2’. Interestingly, the two were earlier supposed to work together on ‘Ram Aur Shyam’, but the project never took off for various reasons.

Shahid Kapoor to team up with Varun Dhawan in ‘No Entry’ sequel

According to Bollywood Hungama, while Varun Dhawan is locked to play one of the three leads, the makers have initiated a conversation with Shahid Kapoor. The actor has heard the basic idea and will soon hear the complete narration. It’s ‘No Entry’ but with a twist. Producer Boney Kapoor is trying to take things a notch higher by getting Varun and Shahid together.

Diljit Dosanjh’s exit throws ‘No Entry’ sequel into uncertainty

The sequel to the popular comedy ‘No Entry’, which originally starred Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, and Salman Khan, was planned with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor. But the project ran into trouble when Diljit decided to quit, and no one knew who would take his place. Things got worse when reports claimed that Varun had also decided to leave the film. However, producer Boney Kapoor stepped in to clear things up, saying, “We are making No Entry Mein Entry, and Varun and Arjun are very much in the film. We are in active discussions to lock our other hero and the rest of the cast.”

Boney Kapoor opens up about replacing original ‘No Entry’ cast

Earlier, talking to Instant Bollywood, Boney said, “Poori star cast hi humne change ki. Toh ye humara loss hai that we could not retain the same star cast. (We’ve changed the entire star cast, so it’s our loss that we couldn’t retain the original cast). We waited for almost 8-10 years, but somehow things didn’t happen. We will miss them. And now we are trying to give a fresh start with a younger lot of actors. But at the same time, we will miss Salman, we will miss Anil and Fardeen. They were the original three boys in No Entry. And they were the most loved.” Go to Source
