At this year’s Golden Globes, Nikki Glaser took a moment to honor the legendary Rob Reiner, making heartfelt references to his cult classic ‘Spinal Tap.’ This poignant tribute comes in light of the heartbreaking news surrounding Reiner and his wife, who were found with stab wounds at home, leading to their son Nick’s shocking arrest.

Comedian Nikki Glaser returned to the 83rd Golden Globes as a host this year as well. During one of her segments, she paid tribute to director Rob Reiner, who, along with his wife, passed away recently after he was found in his home with stab wounds. In the final ceremony, she appeared on stage and paid her tributes to the director in an emotional note.

During her tribute speech, the 44-year-old wore a hat that read “Spinal Tap,” directly referencing one of Reiner’s most popular films, ‘This is Spinal Tap.’ She then continued by saying that “Well, that’s our show. This one went to 11. Thank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all, good night!”The first line paid direct ode to a famous dialogue from the film between Reiner and co-star Christopher Guest. The tribute on the international stage comes 1 month after he and his wife were found in their home.

Last month, after their daughter Romy visited their home to check up on them, Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, were found in their home with stab wounds. Hours later, after investigation, their son, Nick, was arrested on college grounds. He is currently under solitary confinement as per other reports from People and is awaiting his first arraignment hearing, which has been scheduled for February. The date was delayed after his attorney stated that he is innocent; however, he still resigned from the case.Nick Reiner has been appointed an attorney by the court who will be representing him in court.
