Actor Ajith Kumar drew the attention of all away from films as he participated in the 24H Dubai Series on Jan 10-12. The endurance race continued for 25 hours, and Ajith was part of a professional racing team. Showing focus and stamina, his team secured the third spot in the 992 category.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan meet Ajith Kumar

A surprise attraction came during the race weekend when Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan met Ajith in Dubai. Videos of this ‘meeting’ were soon posted on social media, showing Ajith greeting Nayanthara and even hugging her. This interaction went viral, as this was after years of speculation of a fallout between the two. Fans expressed their pleasure at seeing the trio and their viral meeting moment.

Ajith and Nayanthara shelved project

Speculation surrounding a split has been rife since the days of the ‘Thunivu’ release when, Ajith was signed on for a film with Vignesh Shivan. However, the project was shelved after Ajith was reportedly unimpressed with the script. Ajith subsequently accepted roles in projects like ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ and ‘Good Bad Ugly’. Vignesh Shivan’s last film before this was also in 2022, but he switched gears to shoot for ‘Love Insurance Kompany,’ which was wrapped up by April last year. After several delays, the movie is expected to come out around the Valentine’s period.
