Naomika Saran to debut opposite Vedang Raina in a love triangle drama

Dimple Kapadia's granddaughter Naomika Saran to debut opposite Vedang Raina in a love triangle drama with Pragati Srivastava

Anticipation is steadily building around the big-screen debut of Naomika Saran, granddaughter of veteran actor Dimple Kapadia and the late superstar Rajesh Khanna. The young newcomer is set to make her entry into Bollywood with a Maddock Films-backed romantic drama that remains untitled for now. The project is expected to pair Naomika opposite Vedang Raina, who garnered attention for his performance in ‘Jigra’. Actress Pragati Srivastava has also been cast in a prominent role, adding another dimension to the film’s central narrative.

Pragati Srivastava’s reported journey to the project

According to Mid-Day, reports suggest that Pragati Srivastava secured the role while simultaneously preparing for filmmaker Prakash Jha’s political drama ‘Janaadesh’. The actress is reportedly playing the female lead opposite Ishwak Singh and Rahul Bose in the upcoming project. A source revealed that her preparation and commitment to ‘Janaadesh’ reportedly played a significant role during the casting discussions for the Maddock Films venture. Pragati was deep into Janaadesh when conversations for this film began. The work she put in for the political drama worked in her favour during the casting process.

Vedang Raina at the centre of the story

While initial reports largely focused on Naomika Saran’s launch and her pairing with Vedang Raina, fresh details suggest that the story may have a more complex romantic dynamic at its core. The film, directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, is reportedly designed as a love triangle revolving around three principal characters. With Naomika Saran’s debut, Vedang Raina’s growing popularity after ‘Jigra’, and a storyline revolving around romance and emotional conflict, the untitled Maddock Films project is already generating considerable curiosity within industry circles.
