'Nagabandham' first glimpse: Director Abhishek Nama says, 'It is a heartbeat and first cry of a dream'

The world of ‘Nagabandham’ officially opens to audiences with its first glimpse set to be released by superstar Mahesh Babu on the auspicious night of Mahashivaratri. Director Abhishek Nama words set the tone for a film touted as an ambitious, spiritually anchored epic set in 1750.

Director calls teaser ‘a Heartbeat’

In his detailed note, Abhishek Nama described the emotional journey behind the film and the creation of the first glimpse. His statement read, “Today, on this sacred night of Mahashivaratri, with the boundless blessings of Mahadev, we humbly present the first glimpse into the World of Nagabandham — a world that has not merely been created… but truly lived.”He said the story lived within the team for months. He added, “As a director, a teaser is never just footage. It is a heartbeat. It is the first cry of a dream you have carried within your soul for a very long time.”He further emphasised the film’s spiritual foundation, saying every frame carried their “faith in the story, faith in Sanatana Dharma, faith in Cinema, and faith in that unseen Divine force.”

Director describes doubt, exhaustion, and devotion

The director opened up about the challenges behind the scenes. He admitted there were “nights of exhaustion… days of doubt… and moments when the story demanded more from us than we believed we could give.” He said the team chose belief and devotion each time. Drawing parallels with Mahadev, he stated they stayed “Calm yet fierce, silent yet powerful, eternal beyond time.”Abhishek Nama then thanked his producers. “I remain deeply indebted to my producers Nishitha and Kishore, whose unwavering trust became my strength,” he wrote. He also expressed gratitude to industry stalwarts. “My heartfelt gratitude to Megastar Chiranjeevi garu, Superstar Mahesh Babu garu, and Rana Daggubati garu for their encouragement and blessings.”

Director requests viewers to watch with ‘Open heart’

Towards the end of his note, Abhishek Nama offered a heartfelt request. “All we ask is this — Watch it with an open heart. If even for a few seconds it sparks curiosity… ignites excitement… or moves you in any way… then every sacrifice… has been worth it.”He signed off with reverence and hope: “With folded hands, faith in Mahadev, and hope in your love.”

Jagapathi Babu’s stylish first look revealed

Ahead of the glimpse, the team released a poster showcasing Jagapathi Babu in a stylish avatar, seated inside a chopper. The star wrote, “Here’s my look as #Prabhakar from #NAGABANDHAM. Teaser on February 15th | 11:11 AM.”The film stars Virat Karrna in the lead, with Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon as the female leads. Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash, Murali Sharma, and BS Avinash play key roles.
