Naga Vamsi slams trolls after Telugu version of War 2 underperforms

Producer Naga Vamsi hits back at trolls after Telugu version of Jr NTR, Hrithik Roshan's War 2 underperforms at box office: 'Looks like everyone is...'

Naga Vamsi faced criticism after War 2’s Telugu version did not perform well. Sithara Entertainments bought the distribution rights. The film earned less than expected in its first six days. Trolls speculated about Vamsi leaving the film industry. Vamsi responded on X, dismissing the rumors. He stated he would remain in the industry for at least 10-15 more years.

Producer Naga Vamsi has responded to trolls after facing backlash over the poor box office performance of the Telugu-dubbed version of War 2. Despite being one of the year’s most anticipated films and marking Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut, the action thriller has underwhelmed in Telugu markets, prompting speculation about Vamsi’s future in the industry.

Telugu version fails at the box office

Vamsi’s production house, Sithara Entertainments, bought the Telugu distribution rights of Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 for about Rs 80–90 crore. However, the dubbed version has earned only Rs 50 crore in its first six days. Following this, trolls have been targeting Naga Vamsi, claiming that the producer might quit the film industry.

Vamsi’s sharp reply on X

On Wednesday, the producer shut down such trolls on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Enti nannu chala miss avthunattu unnaru…Vamsi adi, Vamsi idi ani gripping narratives tho full hadavidi nadustundi…Parledu, X lo manchi writers unnaru. (It looks like everyone is missing me a lot. Not bad, there are some good writers on X creating gripping narratives about me). He further added, “Sorry to disappoint you all, but inka aa time raaledu… minimum inko 10-15 years undi (Sorry to disappoint you all, but it’s not time yet…there’s 10-15 years more left for that). At the cinemas…for the cinema, always! See you all with our next outing #MassJathara, Very Soon.”
