Veteran actress Nafisa Ali has shared an emotional health update, revealing the resumption of chemotherapy as surgery is no longer a viable option for her cancer treatment. The former Miss India, known for her roles in films like ‘Junoon’ and ‘Uunchai,’ conveyed her love for life alongside a poignant message about family bonds.

Veteran actress Nafisa Ali, known for her grace on screen and inspiring journey off it, has shared an emotional update about her health. The former Miss India and celebrated actress revealed that she is set to begin chemotherapy again, as doctors have ruled out surgery for her cancer treatment.

Sharing an emotional note on Instagram

Taking to Instagram, Nafisa posted a screenshot of a quote, which read, “One day my children asked, ‘Who will we turn to when you’re gone?’ I told them, ‘Turn to each other. That is my greatest gift -siblings who share the same love and memories. She was India’s national swimming champion from 1972 to 1974, won the Eve’s Weekly Miss India title in 1976, and went on to represent the country at the Miss International contest, where she was crowned the 2nd runner-up.

Her Bollywood and regional film career

Nafisa Ali made her acting debut in 1979 with Shyam Benegal’s Junoon alongside Shashi Kapoor. She later appeared in films like Major Saab with Amitabh Bachchan, Bewafaa, Life In A… Metro, Guzaarish, and Yamla Pagla Deewana. She also ventured into regional cinema with the Malayalam film Big B opposite Mammootty.She was last seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s 2022 film Uunchai, which featured an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Danny Denzongpa, and Nafisa Ali.
