Telugu actor Teja Sajja continued his success streak as his latest Mirai does great numbers not only in India but also in North America. His last film Hanu-man was also a profitable venture for everyone involved. Mirai went on to mint over USD 3 million in the North American circuit and so did Hanu-Man and with that he became only the third actor to do so after Prabhas and Jr NTR.
In North America, Mirai closed its theatrical run with a massive $3,075,500 gross The film collected USD 2.83 million from the United States of America and the remaining USD 245,000 from Canada. Breaking down language wise, the Telugu version contributed USD 3.02 million, while the Hindi version added USD 55,000, showcasing that it was the Telugu audience who carried the film on their shoulders. Over the past decade or so-North American market has become the second biggest market for Telugu films courtesy Telugu becoming the 11th most spoken language in the USA.
Back home in India, Mirai put up equally strong numbers, earning a total of Rs 94.79 crore across all languages. The Telugu version led the charge with Rs 76.11 crore, followed by the Hindi version contributing Rs 16.85 crore, while the rest came from other dubbed languages.
