Miley announces original song for ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

'Avatar: Fire and Ash'- Miley Cyrus announces original song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyat; reveals why James Cameron directorial is “deeply personal”

Singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus has officially come on-board ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, by writing and singing an original song for the James Cameron directorial. Taking to her social media handle, the Grammy-winner shared a teaser of the song and revealed in a heartfelt note that the track marked a collaboration with producers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.

In her statement, Cyrus expressed her gratitude for being part of the project, saying, “Honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.”

Cyrus’ personal reason behind OST

Revealing the personal reason behind her involvement in the project, she said, “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine.”Cyrus went on to reflect on how the film’s message resonated with her personal journey, adding, “The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”

About ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, directed by James Cameron, is the highly anticipated third instalment in the record-breaking sci-fi franchise. It is a direct sequel to ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. The film will follow the Sully family as they are threatened by Varang (Oona Chaplin), the leader of the Mangkwan clan who have rejected Eywa. After an unexpected death in their family, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) will struggle to prevent further casualties among their friends and family during the Second Pandoran War, including their own children.The film will be released on December 19, 2025.
