Michael Jackson estate executors seeks $115,000 after motion win

Michael Jackson estate executors submit a new document seeking USD 115K as a fee amid Paris Jackson's legal battle

The ongoing saga surrounding Michael Jackson’s estate took a dramatic turn as the estate’s executors sought $115,000 in legal fees after successfully countering a motion from Paris Jackson. In response, Paris’s team has accused the executors of greed, asserting they will relentlessly pursue clarity and accountability regarding questionable financial dealings within the estate’s management.

The legal proceedings regarding Michael Jackson’s estate continue as new evidence is submitted in court. The attorneys representing the executors of the estate have filed a new document in court, citing that they are owed USD 115,000 in costs and attorneys’ fees.

Executor’s attorney files document itemizing all fee items

According to People, John McClain and John Branca’s attorney has filed new documents in court. The report states that the filing provides a detailed and segregated list of all items and fees owed to them. This has been filed in relation to Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson’s motion, which was filed against them earlier last year. The documents were officially filed in court on January 9. It has been shared that the attorneys are asking for a payment of USD 93,924.63 for the legal fees spent dealing with the matter. They have also added USD 1,238.39 for other pending fees and resources spent on dealing with the motion.

About the motion

Last year, an anti-SLAPP motion was filed by the executors of the will against the petition filed by Paris in July. The court granted the motion in November 2025, citing that all allegations put forth against McClain and Branca by Paris were not valid. They are entitled to the amount that has been documented in the January 9 documents, as the motion was ruled in their favor.

Paris Jackson’s legal representation issues a statement

Soon after the filing was made public, Paris Jackson’s legal representatives issued an official statement. They called the documents filed by the executors an attempt to “take even more money from the Jackson family and use it to line their own pockets.”They also cited that the singer’s daughter has been determined to fight for her rights in the estate and has been working hard to prove the “troubling discrepancies and financial irregularities in the administration of her father’s estate.”“Paris remains undeterred and will continue fighting for transparency, accountability, and fairness for her family,” the statement concluded. In November last year, Paris alleged that McClain and Branca had pocketed large sums of money from her father’s estate earnings and had been dishonest about the financial records. She cited that at the time, they had pocketed more than USD 10 million, which was double the amount of anything that any beneficiary of the estate was entitled to.Disclaimer: The information in this report is based on a legal hearing as reported by a third-party source. The details provided represent allegations made by the parties involved and are not proven facts. The case is ongoing, and a final verdict has not been reached. The publication does not claim that the allegations are true.
