‘Michael’, starring Jaafar Jackson, continued its theatrical run with a steady hold over the Indian box office on its first Monday. The film that debuted in cinemas on Friday, April 24, has gone on to cross the Rs 20 crore mark at the box office, setting it up to score a good lifetime collection. As per a report on sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 2.25 crore net on Day 4 across 2,744 shows, marking its first weekday performance after a strong opening weekend. The Monday figures, however, saw a 61.5% drop in collections from Sunday’s Rs 5.85 crore net. This decline in collections is largely in line with regular weekday trends following a weekend surge in ticket sales.Despite the dip, the film has managed to maintain a strong footing at the box office, recording a total India net collection of approximately Rs 18.75 crore, while its gross collections stand at around Rs 22.50 crore.‘Michael’ has maintained a commendable hold over the box office, despite facing competition from domestic titles such as the Bollywood horror-comedy, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ and the spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar 2’. On its second Monday (Day 11), ‘Bhooth Bangla’ earned an estimated Rs 3.65 crore net (Rs 4.27 crore gross). Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar 2’, now in its sixth week (Day 40), added Rs 1.0 crore net (Rs 1.25crore gross).
