Vihaan Samat: Early life
Vihaan Samat was born on March 9, 1996. He belongs to a Sindhi family and was born in Kolkata and was later raised in Mumbai, where he spent most of his growing years. For higher studies, he moved abroad. He studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and trained in method acting, graduating in 2018. He returned to India the following year.

Vihaan is known for his work in OTT projects as he has appeared in shows like ‘Mismatched’, ‘Eternally Confused’, ‘Eager for Love’, and ‘Call Me Bae’. He is mostly seen playing relatable characters, and apart from acting, he has also featured in several advertising campaigns. Vihaan began his career with a small role in the film ‘Worth’. The film featured Michael Keaton.Speaking about his early experience in 2022, he told Hindustan Times, “I was studying acting, specifically method acting and then film acting. Thereafter, I wanted to hone my skills and worked a bit in the USA. My first role in a movie was with Michael Keaton (actor), where I had one scene,”He also spoke about his inspirations. “I grew up watching Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. As I got older, I was exposed to Hollywood where I watched a lot of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Marlon Brando. And then I was drawn towards Philip Seymour Hoffman, Adrain Brody, Daniel Day-Lewis and Jeremy Strong, who are truly beautiful and incredible actors.” Talking about filmmakers he wants to work with, he said, “Apart from Farhan (Akhtar), Zoya (Akhtar) and Reema (Kagti), I want to work with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Karan Johar, and Rohit Shetty. I also admire Advait Chauhan, Sudhir Mishra, and Hansal Mehta’s work,”
