Three family members of 'Meet the Putmans' pass away in a tragic car accident; five undergo medical care

After experiencing a devastating incident of a car crash in Michigan, three family members of the ‘Meet the Putmans’ reality show passed away, while five members are hospitalised after sustaining injuries. As per the reports by the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, a semi-truck failed to stop at the stop sign, leading to a collision with a jeep carrying eight people.

The tragic news about the ‘Putman’ family

In the Instagram post, the family announced the tragedy with a letter, where they shared that Bill ‘Papa Putman, his wife Barb (called Neenee), and their daughter-in-law Megan had passed away. Other family members, including Uncle Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noa, and Gia, are currently under medical care and are showing positive improvements. As per the recent updates shared by the family, Noah is under sedation, while Gia recently underwent a craniotomy, and her brain pressure is significantly decreasing.

About the accident

The 55-year-old truck driver from Florida collided with the car, and three members were declared dead at the scene. Five members were immediately taken to the hospital, along with the driver, who faced minor injuries, according to the Economic Times. “My entire family — Papa, Neenee, Billy, Jen, Brandon, Kacie, Blake, Megan, Jamie, Blair, myself (Isabelle), Abby, Emma, Addison, Bella, Mercy, Gabby, Noah, Mya, Nova, Lulu, Alena, Gia, Jonah, Eli, Solomon, Uriah, Samson, Luke, and Anna — all proclaim that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He is our hope, our peace, and our salvation. Even in this time of heartbreak, we rest in knowing that God is in control,” the family posted on Instagram. The authorities continue to investigate the crash, as the nature of the crash has not been disclosed.
