Masaba’s birth certificate was stolen to LEAK father’s identity

Masaba Gupta’s birth certificate was stolen; Neena Gupta once recalled how someone LEAKED Vivian Richards’ identity

Neena Gupta is known for her fearless choices and has always stood up to society’s judgements. From raising her daughter single-handedly to confidently breaking fashion norms at 65, she has never let conventions define her. Admired for her boldness both on and off screen, she has faced life’s challenges head-on, earning respect for her courage, independence, and unwavering spirit.

Masaba’s birth certificate was leaked

Neena Gupta welcomed daughter Masaba in 1989. It was widely known that she was not married at the time. Curiosity about Masaba’s father grew, but Neena chose to remain silent. However, just days after Masaba’s birth, a magazine published her birth certificate, revealing the father’s identity. In an old interview with India Today, Neena recalled the shocking incident and said how a journalist did this, “He sent somebody. So my bua, I was living with my bua, so she went and she submitted. They said come after one week, we’ll give you the birth certificate. So she went after one week and they said, ‘Wo toh le gaye aapke koi rishtedaar.’ By chance, I knew somebody who knew that person, usse pata chala ke he sent somebody and then he wrote an article. Wo pade likhe log karte hai toh tumhara toh kya bolenge.”

She addressed the incident on social media again years later

Years later, Neena revisited the incident online. Commenting on an Instagram post shared by Anupam Kher about the same journalist, she wrote, “Do you know, what he did to me, and I called him a bast**d openly. He stole my baby’s birth certificate and published it.”

Neena Gupta and Vivian Richards

As per reports, Neena Gupta met Vivian Richards in Mumbai in the 1980s, and their connection quickly turned into love. Despite their strong bond, marriage was not possible as Vivian was already married. When Neena became pregnant, she chose to have her daughter and raise her independently, demonstrating both her courage and commitment to her decisions.

Neena married later and found happiness

In 2008, Neena Gupta married Vivek Mishra, a Delhi-based Chartered Accountant, at the age of 49. She balanced personal happiness with a thriving career, proving that life can be fulfilling at any stage. Go to Source
