Martin Clunes' hit comedy series 'Warren' gains fresh online praise; called a 'breath of fresh air’

Veteran actor Martin Clunes is currently going viral online as fans cannot seem to get enough of his six-part drama series titled ‘Warren’. Many praised the light-hearted comedy drama for being an easy watch and labeled it one of the actor’s best works.

Martin Clunes’s ‘Warren’ heavily praised by fans and netizens

The series originally aired on the BBC in 2019; however, it has now again gained traction online among the masses. Many people have praised the comedy series and Clunes for his work and portrayal of driving instructor Warren Thompson, who is shown as a selfish and abrasive character in the show.One person online who watched the show commented, “This comedy is really well written and a breath of fresh air,” while another shared, “I love Warren and Martin was absolutely amazing in it, Idk why more people dont appreciate the show.”Another person shared, “I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. I seldom laugh out loud, even when humorous, but this had me really laughing.”

What is the plot of ‘Warren’?

The storyline follows the life of driving instructor Warren Thompson, who is forced to move up north after his partner’s, Anne Humphries’ father, gets sick and they have to care for him. He wishes to have a quiet life; however, he is pushed into a space he does not wish to live in, caring for a family he did not sign up for, and being stuck in a job he does not like. The official synopsis for the show reads “Warren has a way of knowing best and speaking his mind that inevitably leads to conflict, chaos and disaster for those around him – and especially for himself.”The show was created by Jimmy Donny Cosgrove and Paul McKenna. The show is loosely based on Cosgrove’s short film, ‘Warren Thompson Driving School’; Warren’s character is based on his father.
