Manoj Bajpayee calls out fake viral video

‘No association with any party’: Manoj Bajpayee calls out fake viral video of him endorsing a political party

Manoj Bajpayee has strongly condemned a manipulated video circulating online ahead of the upcoming Bihar elections, which falsely suggested his endorsement of a political party. The viral clip, according to the actor, is actually a patched-up version of an old advertisement he had done for an OTT platform, edited to appear as a political message.Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Manoj issued a firm clarification: “I would like to publicly state that I have no association or allegiance with any political party. The video being circulated is a fake, patched-up edit of an ad I did for @PrimeVideoIN. I sincerely appeal to everyone sharing it to stop spreading such distorted content and urge people not to engage with or encourage such misleading content.”The actor’s statement quickly gained traction online, with fans and colleagues. One Twitter user wrote, “Glad you clarified it. People should verify before believing such edited clips but I must say that this video was not posted by the real X account of .” Another one wrote, “In today’s digital age, deepfakes and deceptive editing are a genuine threat to every public figure’s reputation. Relying on such manipulated content to assign party allegiance undermines the very foundation of informed political discourse. We must be better than that.”

Manoj’s approach to negativity: ‘I don’t engage with trolls’

Talking to Bollywood Hungama in the year 2023, Manoj Bajpayee had shared how he handles negativity online. He said he prefers not to engage with trolls unless their comments target someone close to him. “Responding gives them undue attention. Trolls are often attention-seeking individuals. I just block or ignore and focus on my work and the people who appreciate it,” he explained.

Manoj Bajpayee challenges the notion that men should hide their pain and emotions; says ‘Mard ko dard kyun nahi hoga?’
