The latest guests on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s show ‘Two Much’ are Manish Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha. Manish has been in the business for a few decades now and worked on some of the most popular movies, making their costumes iconic. However, did you know that once while working on a film, he did not enjoy working with this one actress and ended up texting that to her only? Twinkle pulled Manish’s leg as she asked him, “You didn’t enjoy working with someone and we believe that you sent her a message accidentally. Can you please tell us about that?” The ace designer went on to narrate the story and said, “This happened once in my life and I actually enjoyed working with her in a very hit film and we worked a lot together, we still do. But I wrote to my nephew Puneet Malhotra. I wrote to him, ‘Last day and I going on the set, done with this film and done with her.’ I sent the message by mistake to that very actress.” Manish further shared, “But she was very gracious and she was very good about it. So it was all cleared.”While Manish did not mention the actress on the show, we know who this is. It’s Priyanka Chopra who Manish had texted and they were working together on ‘Dostana’. Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra had recalled this incident and revealed that Priyanka was in tears when she saw that text. She revealed, that Karan Johar had texted Manish and he replied to Priyanka instead of Karan. Her mother had said in an interview with Lehren Retro, “He messaged Manish, ‘Film City aa jao. Last day hai. Isse tumko chutkara mil jayega. (Come to Film City. It’s the last day. You will get rid of her)’, or something like that.” Madhu Chopra further recalle Manish’s response which read, “Thank god it’s my last day with Priyanka.” Instead of texting this to Karan, Manish sent it to Priyanka who was heartbroken and in tears. Madhu continued, “When Priyanka got this message ‘thank god it’s my last day, chutkara mil jayega,’ naturally she started crying.” While PeeCee was in tears, Karan messaged Manish asking what he had done, as “she was crying on set.” Manish realised that he had accidentally texted her. Madhu Chopra stated that this was a “big faux pax.” Priyanka went to Manish and asked him, “What have I done?”. Talking about it, her mother said, “She handled it so beautifully that instead of becoming enemies forever, they became the closest friends.” Meanwhile on this episode of ‘Two Much’, Manish also spoke about a funny incident during a film. “The one of the first outfits I made and they said, ‘It’s a funeral scene so make her a white salwar kameez but she should look hot.’” Manish admitted that he didn’t question the strange brief because he didn’t want anyone to think he “doesn’t know his job,” but later understood that what the makers wanted was a tight-fitting outfit. “I made fitted, almost tearing salwar kameez,” he recalled with a laugh.
