The makers of ‘Maharaja Hostel’ have given the audience an enjoyable sneak peek in the form of the official trailer for the forthcoming horror comedy film in Malayalam. The trailer is filled with the youthfulness of students in a college hostel that slowly turns into a nightmare for them as the supernatural begins to unfold. There are many thrilling parts in the movie; however, it was ensured by the creators that comedy still rules the plot of the film.

The trailer begins with a group of students who are pursuing engerneering arrive at the college, all are excited to enjoy campus life and create lasting memories together. However, strange incidents start to unfold in their new hostel premises, that fuels the rumors that the building is haunted. As fear grips the students, they set out to discover the truth behind the super natural and mysterious incidents happenings in the hostel and save themselves. The video also adds comedy with supernatural thrills, the trailer proceeds as the students land in a series of hilarious situations, while the hostel’s eccentric warden, known as MGR, adds to the chaos and entertainment.

Songs and youthful cast add to the film’s pre-release excitement

Apart from the trailer, the film’s promotional songs titled ‘Magnetic Kannaane Cornet Pol Sweetaane’ and ‘Choothattamo’ have also received a favorable reception from the audience. The film marks the first on-screen collaboration of Akhil NRD, Akhil Sha, Sharath and Sandeep, who play the lead roles. They are supported by Chithra Nair, Sajin Cherukayil, and Ann Maria, who play important characters. The lively performances, colourful visuals, and humorous interactions shown in the trailer have further increased curiosity ahead of the film’s release.

‘Maharaja Hostel’ heads to theatres on July 24

‘Maharaja Hostel’ is written and directed by Charu Wakan, while Ashkar has handled the cinematography. Aswin Ram composed the music, and Nithish Mishra edited the film.
