R. Madhavan, who plays a major role in his upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’, has revealed how one minute yet significant piece of advice from director Aditya Dhar perfected the actor’s look. In the action flick, he will be seen essaying the role inspired by the National Security Advisor of India, Ajit Doval.

At the trailer launch event in Mumbai on Tuesday, R Madhavan showered praise on Aditya Dhar for his sense of detail. At the event, the actor stated that he would sit for 3-4 hours to get the make-up and prosthetics in place. However, even after sitting for such long hours, he felt that something was not right with his avatar to get the similarity with the look of the NSA.R Madhavan said, “And then Aditya said… ‘Maddy, make your lips thinner.’ For the entire film, I changed my lip shape (made them thinner), and because of that one small detail, the whole result changed. And then I realized—I am not the master here. I am working with true masters… all of them.”

At the same event, R Madhavan expressed how talented Dhar is. He shared, “I remember Aditya came to me one day while I was shooting for something else to narrate the script of Dhurandhar. I listened to him, I listened to the research he had done, and I wondered, ‘Where has this man been all this time? This is national-level research, but where was he?'”

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna, along with R Madhavan.
