‘Madharasi’ Box Office collection day 7: AR Murugadoss' film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Vidyut Jammwal inches closer to Rs 50 crore mark in India

AR Murugadoss’s much-talked-about action thriller ‘Madharasi’, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Vidyut Jammal, has managed to hold its ground in theatres through the first week. The film started strong with a big weekend and, despite a dip in weekday numbers, it has ended its first seven days just a step away from the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office.

As per early estimates by Sacnilk, on day 7 that is Thursday the film showed a further dip to around Rs 2.00 crore. ‘Madharasi’ recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 16.05% and a Telugu occupancy of 13.49% on Thursday, 11 September 2025. By the end of day 6, the film had collected Rs 22 crore from overseas markets.Despite this fall, the total first-week collection reached Rs 49.00 crore across all languages in India. While the decline shows the tough fight films face after their initial buzz, ‘Madharasi’ has still maintained enough pace to almost hit the Rs 50 crore mark within a week.

With nearly Rs 37 crore coming in within the first three days, the film set a solid foundation for its run. This strong opening made it clear that fans were excited to see Sivakarthikeyan in a full-fledged action role and Vidyut Jammal as a fierce villain. The combination of AR Murugadoss’s direction and high-octane action sequences helped pull audiences into cinemas. On Monday, collections fell to Rs 4.15 crore, and the trend continued with Rs 3.20 crore on Tuesday and Rs 2.50 crore on Wednesday.
