'Lokah' box office collections day 27: Dulquer Salmaan's film hits Rs 140 crores; nears the Rs 150 crore club

Kalyani Priyadarshan has literally hit it out of the park with her superhero flick ‘Lokah’ which continues its winning run at the box office. According to the recent updates, the movie has crossed the Rs 140 crore milestone within 27 days of release.

Nearing the coveted 150-crore mark

According to early estimates from trade tracker Sacnilk, ‘Lokah’ has earned around Rs 1.15 crore on its 27th day, bringing its total to Rs 140.25 crore. The Dominic Arun directorial is eyeing the Rs 150-crore mark and it’s surely a cakewalk.

Weekend boost for ‘Lokah’

The film witnessed a strong move during its fourth weekend, with collections of Rs 3.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.1 crore on Sunday. Monday drew Rs 1.25 crore and Tuesday around Rs 1.15 crore. Week three itself added Rs 27.1 crore to the tally.

Occupancy rates for Dulquer Salmaan’s film

On Tuesday, September 23, Lokah recorded an overall 17.43% occupancy in Malayalam theaters, with numbers picking up significantly in the evening and night shows.Kalyani Priyadarshan recently took to her Instagram handle to share gratitude for the success of the film. Her note read, “Yesterday, our film reached a number that was only possible because of you, the audience. I’m beyond speechless, and truly beyond grateful for the love being showered on this film. In our industry, content has always been king, the biggest star of all – and once again, you’ve proved that to us. Thank you for giving us the chance to show that stories with vision will always find their place with you.”Featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan alongside Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan, Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra marks the beginning of a larger cinematic universe.
