Reportedly, Netflix has picked up the digital rights, though no official confirmation has been made yet by the platform or the film’s makers. Reports from One India indicate that the movie could premiere in the last week of September, with September 26 being the most speculated date. The OTT version is expected to stream in multiple languages — Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada — expanding its reach far beyond Kerala.
Box office steady after strong weekend
In just six days, Lokah has earned an estimated Rs 39.37 crore net in India, according to trade reports by the Sacnilk website. The film opened with Rs 2.7 crore on Thursday, followed by Rs 4 crore on Friday. Collections shot up during the weekend, pulling in Rs 7.6 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.1 crore on Sunday. Remarkably, the film held steady on Monday, adding another Rs 7.2 crore to its tally. By day six, the total stood at Rs 39.37 crore, signaling a strong run beyond just opening hype.
Expanding beyond Malayalam cinema
Alongside Kalyani, the film features Naslen in a central role, with supporting performances from Sandy Master, Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, and Dulquer Salmaan himself.
